Amin Shahna-Chief Dental Assistant

Amin lives in Centerville, VA. Amin has been with our practice for the last 2 years. He is a proven professional with experience in all aspects of dental assisting. Amin is a great communicator who understands all patients' needs. He is able to develop productive relationships with colleagues and patients. In his free time, Amin enjoys working out at the gym and spending time on his boat in the summertime.

Caroline Sanchez-Dental Assistant

Caroline joined Fairfax Corner Dental in October of 2007. Originally from California, she's lived in Northern Virginia for the past 6 years. Caroline enjoys helping patients to feel more comfortable. She is the mother of two adorable boys who are 4 and 5 years old. Caroline loves being a mother and devotes every spare moment to her children.

Michelle Vo-Dental Hygienist

Michelle has been with our practice for the last 9 months. Michelle has finished the dental hygiene program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Michelle is a very thorough professional with an eye for perfection. Her patients compliment her on her ability to communicate, as well as her gentle way of working. In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her dog.

Domenica "Mimi" Genuardi - Dental Hygienist

Mimi joined Fairfax Corner Dental in December of 2006. She has been a practicing hygienist for nearly 6 years and greatly enjoys her profession. A native of the area, Mimi graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Northern Virginia Community College in 2002. Mimi is always sought out by our patients because of her gentle, yet thorough skills. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Benny, and traveling to Italy in the summer to visit friends and family.

Venita Sloan - Office Manager

Venita joined Fairfax Corner Dental in June 2004 as our Office Manager. She began her dental career in 1998 and has experience working with general dentists, as well as oral surgeons and orthodontics. Venita grew up in Wheaton, MD, and attended Montgomery Community College for nursing. Currently she resides in Centerville, VA, and is the mother of a precious 2 1/2 year old daughter. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and shopping.

Sarah Hobbs - Patient Coordinator

Sarah joined the group in June of 2007. She began her dental career in 2005, with experience primarily in general dentistry. Originally from Kentucky, Sarah recently applied to the Dental Hygiene program at Northern Virginia Community College, where she is currently taking classes. In her time apart from work and study, she enjoys spending time with her husband Mark, dog Scout, and traveling.

Dr. Chang Yi - Dentist (Owner)

Dr. Yi has lived in Northern Virginia for over 20 years. He attended West Springfield High School. During high school, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry. He was accepted to Virginia Commonwealth University prior to graduating high school as part of an honors program. Dr. Yi received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1997 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2001. Sedation Dentistry and Invisalign certified, Dr. Yi has made a commitment to improve the standards of patient care.

Dr. Yi is a member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.

Dr. Negar Tehrani - Prosthodontist (Associate Dentist)

Dr. Tehrani moved to Virginia in September of 2006. Originally from Iran, she has graduated from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. After finishing general dentistry, she has continued her studies with 3 years of residency in the prosthodontics program in the same school. Prosthodontics is one of the seven dental specialties that are recognized by the American Dental Association. Prosthodontics is a discipline focusing in full mouth rehabilitation from denture to implant supported prosthesis, as well aesthetic dentistry.

Dr. Tehrani is a member of DC dental Society, American Dental Association and American College of Prosthodontics. Dr. Tehrani loves treating comprehensive cases and she is also Invisalign certified. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her puppy, as well as reading. Having moved to this area 2 years ago, she loves Virginia and believes it is her final home.
